I was reading in the news today that the 3 cheapo airlines are increasing their prices on baggage fees. Aerlingus really have their fingers on the pulse when they say:
An Aer Lingus spokesman said it had received "no negative feedback from customers" since the charges were introduced on January 17.
Em...yeah! Like I'm going to bother writing to them. As for the other two cowboys..well it's turning into the cheap flights monopoly..I'm starting to think why we don't go back to using the normal...get your free drink..no baggage levy...first and second class...luxury travel equivalent. Aer France, Lufthansa and Virgin!
Cheap flights my arse!

But I firmly believe that the airlines are now actually making more money on surcharges than they are from flying. It would appear that its a cunning ploy to get you into a place that you have no choice and sell you things that you dont want.
I have just had a brainwave, we should set up a company that will foward your luggage ahead of you to your destination, you will then have the option of leaving the luggage with us, in storage, and when you are going again we'll send them to your location, via UPS or Fedex, I 'm sure that if we had enough doing this we could negotiate a decent rate. Come to think of it we could also mind your holiday golf clubs.
This would then remove the necessity of bringing any luggage at all, this would also highlight the amount of revenue these airlines are making from us in the guise of surcharges.
That should soften the cough a small bit, and force the airline management to actually manage an airline...............

Go for it man, I'm sick and tired of all these charges, next thing you know we will have to pay a euro to have a p*ss on the flights. They will probably install a money slot on the door like the Jacks of old.
Unlike Blacksheeps suggestion - which is a good one, why dont we all saty at home and refuse to travel anywhere, I'm p*ssed off with all the f**king red tape in Dublin Airport anyway, so if we holiday at home we keep the money away from the airlines, keep it in our own economy and just get ripped off by the Irish Tourist trade. - The Bananna Republic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"A cheap flight monoply" probably the best statement of the year. And I agree, we should all either go back to the Travel Agents and demand "Full Service" flights. I will bet you will get the "whaaaaa factor"
I dont want to sound weird, but, since 9/11 has our expectations reduced of flying reduced? I think so.
