Why is it that when something goes wrong in the "backyard" of some backbencher be it serious or not so serious there is an immediate call for a "public inquiry" by some backbench politician, that gets on the T.V once a year.

What feckin planet are these gobshites living on "planet bo##ocks" because thats all they seem to talk.

Do they not realise that inquiries cost money, they need lawyers (not cheap), agreed terms of reference( which the laywers will debate endedlessly for an hourly fee), they need somewhere to be held.......... the feckin expensive list goes on.

Public Inquiries have a place in all societies if the subject deserves it,and its the greater public good that the truth (that nugget that no longer seems to exist in society)will be uncovered,then hold one if it helps, but a two foot pothole, a months rain, or a local man failure to be drawn out of the "Winning Streak" bubble last week do not deserve a Public Inquiries.

Half of these muppets anyway are elected due to being the local undertaker, publician,auctioneer and greyhound owner, they get on telly and rather than say nothing they feel they must contribute to the vox pop by "calling for a Public Inquiry".

And the reason for this because they can tell their electorate "I called for 36 public inquiries on your behalf, and will continue to do so", the average punter "what a guy, I'll vote for him" .

So rather deal with a problem on a commercial basis, find the cause and fix it, politicians call for a "Public Inquiry" and guess what they are using your money......
